Behr: Music in Color

Behr Paint wanted to give DIY-shy millennials a new, meaningful way to connect to color. So we tapped into a millennial core passion – music – and teamed up with Katy Perry to do something unpredented: give every song on Spotify a color. All 70 million of them.

Now you can paint your walls the color of your favorite song. (Yeah, since you’re wondering, “TNT” by AC/DC is a deep orange called Bonfire Night.) The public response was incredible, as were the measurable results -- users spent an average of 2 and a half minutes on our site, 5x the Spotify average.

The campaign won four 2022 Music Clios – one gold and three silvers -- and a 2022 Shorty Award.
