Feeding Time: A Tale from Jack in the Box

2023. The Hollywood writers and actors guilds were striking. We thought, what if we could serve up truly unnerving Halloween content to Jack fans while helping out-of-work Hollywood creators, too?  

We delivered Jack food to the picket lines, then  worked with writers from American Horror Story, Servant and the Saw film franchise to craft an original horror short around Jack’s new Angry Monster Tacos. When it came time to make it, we enlisted more out-of-work horror filmmakers to bring it to life.

The short debuted on Friday the 13th and caught fire on Tik Tok. A code buried in the short allowed 1,000 people to access a discount on Angry Monster Tacos. The creepy universe extended to 2 commercials and an IRL activation where people could use Resy to book the film’s star – a sinister taco truck – for their Halloween parties.
